Share their decisions

( Hi Doug and Brad - if you think the information being asked here is beneficial or thought provoking to Transitioning employees, please post anonymously. Thank you. )

In the spirit of "open communication", will former UC-LANL and UC-LLNL employees, who are currently identified with the LANS Leadership positions, share their decisions on their selection of "TCP1" or "TCP2" along with one additional question?

Will the following individuals, ( listed here per information from the LANS, LLC websites http://www.lansllc.com/Proposed_LD.html & http://www.lansllc.com/Leadership_team.html ) ---

o Dr. Michael R. Anastasio, Ph.D, (former UC-LLNL employee)
o Mr. Glenn Mara, (former UC-LLNL employee)
o Mr. Terry Wallace, (former UC-LANL employee)
o Mr. J. Douglas Beason, (former UC-LANL employee)
o Mr. W. Scott Gibbs, (former UC-LANL employee)
o Mr. Bret Knapp, (former UC-LLNL employee)
o Mr. Charles McMillan, (former UC-LLNL employee)
o Ms. Susan Seestrom, (former UC-LANL employee)

... PUBLICLY answer these two questions ??

a) Will you choose "TCP1" or "TCP2"???
b) Do you have a spouse or domestic partner who will continue working in, or is currently a retired member of, the UCRP system?

The answers to the above 2 questions should NOT take a great deal of effort or thought and can be as concise as 6 letters (for example, "TCP2" & "No") or as extensive as 7 letters (for example, "TCP1" & "Yes").

An honest and forthcoming answer would be refreshing; silence would be telling. Thank you for your candor.

Comments:
"...silence would be telling..." you what, exactly?

Why should anyone, including those folks, reveal a personal decision that is based on extremely individual circumstances?

Just stop the hating.

Wow, and anonymous posting demanding that someone else post their personal financial decisions on the blog. See any irony here?

The die on what NNSA required was cast long ago. Assuming that there is a special conspiracy here for Seestrom or Beason to screw the little guy is just too much.

These are the boys who did the analysis during the bid process and figured out how deep LANS needs to dig into our pockets in order to make the largest incentive-based fee. Silence would suggest to me that they are in some secret plan ("TCP3" maybe?) where they bask in the enormous wealth generated by cutting LANL benefits. No TCP1 or 2 like ordinary folks.

Sometime after June 1st we'll probably discover that the Executive
Team is neither on TCP1 or TCP2. As of now, I believe this info
is tightly controlled as part of the LANS proprietary bid process.

It is beyond me why NNSA is allowing the LANS RFP offer to remain
proprietary and hidden at this time. The RFP is long over. I
would love to see exactly what LANS promised to NNSA in their bid.

As an aside, has any notice how quiet Anastascio has suddenly become?
He was scheduled to make several "All-Hands" talks in April, but seem
to be completely out-of-sight. Is the LANS team simply waiting out the
May 15th clock before they will tell us more about LANL's future?
This is not a good sign.

Yes, good2go, Re: your aside, it has not gone unnoticed that Mike A. has been completely invisible. Speculation is that he and Bechtel have "agreed to disagree" wrt the future of LANL. As a result, Mike A. has already left the building.

What is so bad about asking our "leaders" where they stand on this very important matter?

The fact is that we will find out eventually and then people will know whether or not these people are really with is.

My bet is that the non-LANL people will keep their present employment. All will have some sort of golden parachute.

My bet will be that all of these people will go TCP2 and be allowed to retire on the primary UCRP. Afterwards they will get their salary and a yearly performance based bonus check. I will also bet that they have a clause in their contracts that says, if LANS goes belly up they will get severance pay that will make their retirement look minuscule. The only people here that are going to get the shaft are the worker bees. But as you said, we will never know until years after the fact.
