På Gjensyn -- Until we meet again

Dear Colleagues and Friends:

It has been an honor and a privilege to have been associated with
this Laboratory for the past 24.5 years. I wish all of you the
greatest success in whatever the future may bring.

In particular, I hope that Los Alamos National Laboratory continues
to be an attractive and rewarding place to do some of the best
science in the world.

For my part, I am beginning a new career at the Center for the
Physics of Geological Processes at the University of Oslo, in Norway.
I leave immediately (3/26), and Susan will follow in the summer. We
will deeply miss all of our friends in the communities of Los Alamos
and Northern New Mexico while we are in Oslo, but hope that our path
will bring us back home once again someday.

Beste lykke i din nye løpebane! -Bort fra det Laboratorium, er det.

Mange hilsener fra

Dear Galen:

I have seen your post on The Blog today. I should have contacted you earlier when I heard that you were going to Norway, but I thought my Norwegian was WAY too bad. (Maybe you could send me some e-mails in Norwegian, so that I can practice--when you have the time later, of course.)

Oslo is a very beautiful city, and you and your family will love it, I am sure. Best of luck in your new career! -Away from the Lab, that is.

Best wishes from
-Brad Lee Holian
