Just waiting for the shoe to drop

From Anonymous:

I get the impression that El Sobrante, CA (home of the University Of

California Office Of The President) is a happening place, for the second
day in a row. Visitors from that site continue to be regulars on this
blog. An article that seems to be of particular interest to them today is
this one:

I particularly liked the comment posted to that piece at 4/18/2005
11:38:53 PM, in which it is suggested that Dynes make Nanos a Regent of of
the University of California. Now there would be a whole bucket of karma;
just rewards, and all that.

Oh, well, another day in limbo land, just waiting for the shoe to drop.

I'm told the shoe dropped today.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Healthy attitude. Me too.
Ok, for the sake of argument, let's just say that Nanos was told yesterday that his services were no longer required. Further, let's assume that he told the Executive Board "Goodby" today. Now, let's imagine what UC might still be able to do to minimize the positive impact of this event.

How about, not making the termination effective until June?

Yep, that would do it. A strong statement reinforcing the obvious: UC should step aside and let LM have a clear shot at the competition.
Nanos was "spotted" today observing the sluggish response of Los Alamos' finest fire department to a situation at the Motorola building.
Right next store.
