Comments:
The publicists are saying, " Energy Secretary Samuel W. Bodman, UC President Robert C. Dynes, Senators Pete Domenici (R-NM) and Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), NNSA’s Brooks, and Nanos say they......are asking staff to wait until they have all the facts before deciding to retire early."

However at a recent all-hands meeting Nanos ordered that the video and audio feeds turned off. After ensuring that his order had been executed, he said something to the effect that if someone were to play these kind of games with his retirement he would retire early even if it meant giving up a star.

I know that the technically these two statements by Nanos are not necessarily contradictory but with the stealthy natural of the latter they come across that way.

Does anyone know where the Dec issues of Physics Today went? I think something malicious did happen. Do you realize what this could mean? How can anyone stand for this?
